By Wednesday are a Manchester-based band who have built a loyal following over the last few years while playing some of the city’s most well-known grassroots venues. With multiple DIY sold-out shows under their belt, other headline shows across Manchester, and supporting artists at some of their favourite venues including Night & Day, Castle Hotel & Deaf Institute, By Wednesday have built their reputation as a solid live band.

Ahead of the release of their new single MPH, By Wednesday will be celebrating the launch of this with a headline show at Manchester’s Yes Basement.
 

Each member brings varying influences to the band which can be heard in the variety of styles in their releases so far where shoegaze crescendos sit alongside gritty emo-influenced riffs and dreamy indie pop. This variety of influences is brought together by a distinctive “By Wednesday sound” demonstrating their ability as skilled songwriters as well as performers.

In 2025 By Wednesday will release the songs they are most proud of to date, while playing more of Manchester’s iconic venues.
